Counselling Supervision from Manchester and Glossop Counselling.

As a qualified casework supervisor with almost ten years experience, I provide supervision to qualified, experienced and trainee counsellors.

Over the years, I have gained approximately 10,000 client contact hours.

The purpose of supervision, is to provide a forum in which counsellors can reflect on their client work in a confidential setting.

Counsellors will take many issues to their supervision sessions but the main function is  to enhance the awareness, competence and practise skills of the supervisee.

My aim is to educate, manage and support my supervisees at all times.

Through the supervision process, we are able to resolve  inner conflict that we may be experiencing within our client work. The promotion of the counsellors awareness enables them to work more effectively and competently with their own clients.

Supervision is a process that has a 'Domino Effect' from supervisor to counsellor to client.

Supervision is a mandatory requirement of the BACP and should take place on a regular basis, usually 90 minutes per month or 90 minutes for every eight hours of client contact.
